The closest airport to Spetses Island is Athens International Airport.  Traveling from the airport to Spetses Island takes between 3 and 4 hours.

Bus shuttle
There will be a free bus leaving from Athens International Airport at 14:45 on September 3, to the pier in Costa (travel time: 2 hours, 15 mins).  Tickets for the water taxi from Costa to Spetses Island will also be provided.  If you plan to take the bus, please inform us at spetses2008@embl.de so that we can estimate how many busses to organize.

1. Travel Plan 1

A. Take a taxi from the airport to the pier in the town of Costa
    Taxis can be found at the designated area at Exit 3 of Arrivals Level.
    Travel time: ca. 3 hours
    Price: ca. Euro 180 (fix the price with the taxi driver beforehand)
